Job Role:
- To ensure that excellent services are delivered across the area and are specific to the needs and requirements of each person who uses the service - To provide specific clinical advice and support when necessary in relation to such requirements of persons using the service
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Qualification/NVQ Level 5 or NVQ 4 (or working towards) - Minimum of four years experience within the learning disability or mental health sector - Minimum of three years management experience

Successful candidates will have a broad range of business management skills and health care experience that relates to the delivery and development of high quality service provision to vulnerable people living in their communities. Area Managers will maintain and continuously improve the quality of the current provision. They will also drive forward new initiatives and innovative work to help develop the business growth within their office, reflecting Lifeways as the leading support provider. A natural leader and communicator you will have the drive, commitment and enthusiasm to ensure that the team is working effectively to deliver a high level of service and quality. Candidates will provide strong leadership and clear strategic direction for the development of new services which are responsive to client needs, whilst also managing staff and operating costs every effectively Candidates will have significant previous experience working effectively with external professionals at a senior level within the social or health care sector. To succeed in this role there will need to have previous relevant management experience and a demonstrated ability to be person centred and solutions focused. Reporting to the South West Regional Manager, candidates will have a Registered Managers Award alongside an NVQ4 in Care/Management or a relevant professional qualification supported by a management qualification or be working towards one.

Ideally, the Registered Manager will hold an NVQ 4 / RMA / Level 5 Diploma / Nurse Qualification or equivalent (or be prepared to complete the necessary qualifications within an agreed timeframe) as this post is subject to all CQC registration requirements. It is essential that the Manager has previous experience of managing a residential service. In all the senior / management roles you will be required to be highly flexible and participate in the 24 hour rotational system providing direct person-centered support to the people who use our service along with all managerial tasks required to run a successful service.
